Books and Appearances

Her second book, #1 New York Times bestseller The Wisdom of Menopause (2001, 2011) has helped millions of women embrace the mind/body revolution of the “change” and the tremendous potential that accompanies it. She was a frequent guest on the Oprah Winfrey show and Ms. Winfrey turned to Dr. Northrup for insight when reaching “The Big M.” Dr. Northrup’s books which also include Women’s Bodies, Women’s Wisdom, Goddesses Never Age, Making Life Easy, Mother Daughter Wisdom, The Secret Pleasures of Menopause, and the children’s book, Beautiful Girl, have been translated into 24 languages.

Amata and Menopause

Dr. Northrup writes, “My most fervent prayer is that women all over the world wake up to power, privilege, and pleasure of being a woman.” Her newly launched line of Amata supplements and beauty products is the latest step in a lifelong mission to inspire women to flourish. Made using the Pueraria mirifica plant, a traditional medicine that Thai women have used for 700 years, Amata helps alleviate the symptoms of menopause so women can thrive in the wisdom of this uniquely female life stage.

Dr. Northrup has appeared on The Oprah Winfrey Show, the Today Show, NBC Nightly News, The View, Rachael Ray, Good Morning America, 20/20, and The Dr. Oz Show. Her program, Flourish!, is broadcast weekly on Hay House Radio and she has hosted seven successful public television specials. She was named one of Reader’s Digest’s “100 Most Trusted People in America” in 2013.
